Welcome to the Computational Transport Phenomena Laboratory!

The research areas encompass modeling and simulation of transport processes, with a focus on turbulent, reacting multiphase flows. Our goals are to utilize the latest mathematical and numerical tools to investigate and elucidate the underlying physico-chemical processes, and to develop models and numerical algorithms which accurately represent the phenomena in a computationally-affordable manner.

Researchers at the Computational Transport Phenomena Laboratory use numerical simulation to examine the transport phenomena underlying natural and engineered processes as they pertain to science and industry-based problems. This work covers a range of areas from laminar interfacial flows to turbulent gas dynamics to atmospheric aerosol dynamics.
